MANILA, Philippines – For all the home improvement junkies and budol besties out there, you’re in luck — Anko, Australia’s home and lifestyle brand, opened its first Philippine store on Thursday, November 7 at the ground level of Glorietta 2, Makati City.

Anko Philippines’ flagship location will determine how interested Filipino customers are in the brand, with plans to open more branches if it does well.

The homeware brand known across Australia and New Zealand is well-loved for its simple but on-trend designs, high-quality, essential products, and affordability. Owned by Wesfarmers Ltd, one of Australia’s leading companies, Anko was born out of Kmart, the famous department store across the ANZ region.

“The Philippines is a natural choice for Anko,” Rachel Turner, Anko’s Country Manager, said.

“It’s a vibrant market where people truly resonate with our products, and the culture here, like back home, places a strong emphasis on family. With over a hundred million people in the Philippines compared to our home market of 30 million, where we sell over a billion units annually, we see immense potential. It’s an exciting opportunity to bring Anko’s value and quality to even more homes.”
